A smoothie a day keeps the doctor away. Every morning I try to have a smoothie for breakfast after I drink a glass of filtered water or warm water with lemon juice. If I eat a huge meal the night before, the next day I balance it out with a smoothie. It's affordable, convenient and makes me feel like I'm doing something good for my body.
YUMMY LOVE YOUR BODY SMOOTHIE RECIPE:
- an organic fuji apple
- a banana
- handful of organic baby carrots
- handful of organic kale
- a stalk of organic celery
- a block of unsweetened organic acai
- 1/4 cup of organic orange juice
- 3/4 cup of filtered water
BLEND & ENJOY! I get most of the ingredients at Trader Joe's, Sprouts, Vons or Ralphs. I use the Baby Bullet to blend the smoothie. It's easy to clean and does the job. I use only organic fruits and veggies because I don't want to drink in more pesticides from non-organic produce. I don't use ice in my smoothie usually since the cold temperature shocks my digestive system.
For MAXIMUM nutrient absorbtion drink the smoothie as soon as you blend it since the fruits and veggies start to deoxidize once it's chopped up. Wait half an hour before eating so your digestive system can digest the smoothie properly. You won't be hungry for at least an hour since all the fiber in the fruits and veggies will fill you up. It boosts your immune system and helps you poop too.
